3D Illustrations Come Alive!


Hideyuki Nagai is a young artist, born in 1991. He creates a 3D effect that is a simple but exciting illusion. The style features techniques based on perspective and it's amazing to see what can be done with just a pencil and paper and the right angle for capturing a photo! Brilliant stuff!

"Starry Night" Made from 7,067 Falling Dominoes


Industrious domino artist FlippyCat recreated Vincent Van Gogh's famous "Starry Night" painting using 7,067 dominoes stacked vertically and horizontally to create an impressive chain reacton that seems to sprawl in the same direction as the artist's brushstrokes. The video contains some pretty heartbreaking outtakes as well.

"Chewing in Venice! "


Frankfurt based artist Simone Decker caught our eye with her giant bubble gum project, "Chewing in Venice". The sticky sculptures have been stretched, chewed and blown up into a wide range of oversized wads and bubbles that landed around the Italian city.

YEAH! Typographic Installation!


Bangkok design studio FarmGroup has created this hanging installation from used plastic straws. Packed tightly togheter, hundreds of these reclaimed straws form the building blocks for larger shapes and words. This installation, from the Siam Center, intends to emphasize the idea that nearly anything can be reused.

Big Appetites!


Seattle based photographer Christopher Boffoli photograph miniature figurines performing varied task such as mowing an orange peel or excavating a berry pie. Part of his "Big Appetites" photographs include his latest series "Edible Worlds" which will be exhibited at the Winston Wachter Gallery in Chelsea, starting on June 21, 2012.
