Street Artist Bordalo Segundo Creates a Stunning New Mural Using Found Objects

Street artist Bordalo Segundo recently completed a new mixed media mural installation titled "Arara Do Bosque De Telheiras". Using his signature mix of garbage and found objects combined with vibrant colours, Bordalo created a stunning image of a Scarlet Macaw, a large, red, yellow and blue parrot found in the humid evergreen forests of tropical South America.

Surreal Floating Room!

Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich has made a strong impact on people’s mind with this installation presenting a room ripped out of a building and hanging in the air above the city. Reachable by a ladder, his work entitled “The Furniture Lift – The Ultimate Moving Out” was created for the Art festival Le Voyage à Nantes.

English Building's Brick Facade Playfully Slumps Down

Created by British designer Alex Chinneck, this fun intervention creates the illusion that a brick facade has melted right off the side of a building and into the front yard. Titled From the Knees of my Nose to the Belly of my Toes, the piece was installed in the English seaside town of Margate, and the artist chose to present it without any identifying information, leaving locals amused and scratching their heads.

Ai Weiwei's "BANG" Instalation Features 886 Wooden Stools!

Chinese artist Ai WeiWei has created a new installation made of 886 three-legged wooden stools produced by traditional chinese craftsmen. The piece titled "Bang" is inspired by the artistic and cultural traditions of China, where every family had at least one stool, which served all sorts of domestic purposes and was passed on from generation to generation.

"Chewing in Venice! "


Frankfurt based artist Simone Decker caught our eye with her giant bubble gum project, "Chewing in Venice". The sticky sculptures have been stretched, chewed and blown up into a wide range of oversized wads and bubbles that landed around the Italian city.

YEAH! Typographic Installation!


Bangkok design studio FarmGroup has created this hanging installation from used plastic straws. Packed tightly togheter, hundreds of these reclaimed straws form the building blocks for larger shapes and words. This installation, from the Siam Center, intends to emphasize the idea that nearly anything can be reused.

A Drunkard's Spiraling Thoughts


Contemporary artist Gilles Barbier's sculptural installation titled "L'ivrogne", translated as "The Drunk", depicts a sullen man, down on his luck. Replicated after the artist himself, the figures has a spiraling whirlwind of thoughts physically emerging from his head. The metaphorical visual made of wax and mixed media displays a circus of objects ranging from dreamy stars and clouds to violent bombs and dynamite.
There's a cartoonish appeal to his winding imagination that can't be contained!
