Suspended Möbius Strip Sculptures Made from Thousands of Matchbox Toy Cars
New York City based artist Chambliss Giobbi uses thousands of Matchbox and Hot Wheels toy cars to create large Möbius strip that wind throughout space without beginning or end, while suspended from the ceiling. The sculptures are part of his new exhibition at 101/EXHIBIT in Los Angeles titled "American Iron", a show that explores the “inventiveness, expanse, and ultimate collapse” of a uniquely American culture.

Flexible Sculptures by Li Hongbo
Li
Hongbo’s artwork may look like porcelain or gypsum sculptures at first, but
that’s only until he demonstrates how flexible they are. Beijing based artist,
book designer and editor creates these busts and sculptures out of thousands of
layers of glued thin paper. Hongbo builds the honeycomb-like structures by
strategically placing the glue on each sheet of paper, and then gives the
desired shape to it.

Breathtaking Iceberg Drawings by Zaria Forman
The project, titled ‘Chasing the Light’ was partly inspired by Forman’s childhood adventures with her family, when they used to travel to remote parts of the world for her mother’s career in fine art photography. Turning her attention to Greenland for this particular project, Forman followed in her mother’s footsteps, translating Greenland’s gorgeous towering icebergs into these incredible pastel drawings.

Partially Painted Hands Blend Naturally Into Landscapes
Artist Kevin Corrado plays with all kinds of perspectives in this visually intriguing series titled Transfer. In each scene, a single arm, attached to nothing, hangs mysteriously down from the sky. The entire hand, covered with dripping paint to match the surrounding landscape, blends together with the scene in a dramatic combination of real and surreal.

Tape Art by Mark Khaisman!
Mark Khaisman characterizes his work as ‘pictorial illusions formed by light and shadow’. The three key elements are: translucent packing tape, clear acrylic or film panels, and light. By superimposing layers of packaging tape Mark can ‘play on degrees of opacity that produces transparencies highlighted by the color, shading, and embossment’.
